Shitaya Shrine festival 2012

 

Yesterday and today is Shitaya shrine festival! Shitaya shrine is only 5 minutes walk from OAK hotel.

"Mikoshi" (portable shrine) is carried by many people and they walk around the town.  They start from several spots in the town and the goal is Shitaya Shrine.

There are so many street stalls near the shrine... This is Japanese festival!!

On 12th,  Mikoshi started around 6 pm.

This is Dashi, it goes forward Mikoshi and they play musical instruments and livened up people who carry Mikoshi.
