AmuseMuseum part3
Small door for thief can't bring big stuff to outside.

There are also many old wears in AmuseMuseum.
Almost made in North area Aomori, and they are made about 100years ago!!
Many beautiful blue Aprons.
The Ladies are using old style sewing machine.

Amuse Museum Ukiyoe
I have never seen these many Ukiyoe pictures.
Amuse Museum in Asakusa area.
Oak staff Mr,Hosoi and I went to The Amuse Museum in ASAKUSA.
Asakusa is one of the famous sight seeing area in Tokyo, and it is very close from oakhotel.
We can see many UKIYOE pictures, very historic old Japanese wears and very very old style sewing machine( and we can watch it is still working!!)
It was very impressive to us even we Japanese.
I will upload many museum and Asakusa's pictures after this.
It would be nice, if you would be interested in them!!!

Mamemaki ~Bean Throwing~
Hello, everybody.
Today, I'm gonna write about the event which was taken place one month ago.
That event is called "Mamemaki".
It is explained by wikipedia, like below.
(Mamemaki (Bean-Throwing) is usually performed by the toshiotoko (年男) of the household (i.e., the male who was born on the corresponding animal year on the Chinese zodiac), or else the male head of the household.
Roasted soybeans (called fuku mame (福豆?)) are thrown either out the door or at a member of the family wearing an Oni (demon or ogre) mask, while the throwers chant "Oni wa soto! Fuku wa uchi!" (鬼は外! 福は内!).
The words roughly translate to "Demons out! Luck in!"
The beans are thought to symbolically purify the home by driving away the evil spirits that bring misfortune and bad health with them. Then, as part of bringing luck in, it is customary to eat roasted soybeans, one for each year of one's life, and in some areas, one for each year of one's life plus one more for bringing good luck for the year to come.")

What they are throwing is used to be beans.
But this time, they mainly throw snacks and toys to make children excited.
